FAC 2010 Michigan Parenting Workshops

Family Adoption Consultants has developed a curriculum of training workshops to prepare parents for the challenges that adoption issues add to the parenting experience. Adoption is a life long journey and we are strong advocates of offering families the information and resources needed to meet those challenges with a proactive approach.

These workshops are required for FAC families currently in the adoption process in our programs and we strongly recommend that parents working with FAC for their adoption study, while using another resource for placement of a child, also take advantage of the training offered by FAC.

Our workshops are also open to parents working with other agencies who may need 10 hours of education to meet their Hague requirements. Please make your request for a Certificate of Attendance known when you pre-register.

Adoptive parents from any agency, who are currently parenting, and would like to learn more about any of the issues addressed at these workshops are also more than welcome to attend.

Registration is required. Please call Amy or Theresa at the Kalamazoo office at 1-800-481-5830 to register and received details of the training. Payment is required when you register and needs to be paid prior to the workshop. You can pay by credit card or check. See links below for a description of the workshops, a bio of workshop presenters, and a Q & A of often asked questions. Check with the Kalamazoo office for current workshop fees.

Lunch is on your own for most workshops. Adults only please.
